Empire Harley-Davidson Chili Cook-Off Official Rules
1. Eligibility:
The Empire Harley-Davidson Chili Cook-Off is open to all chili enthusiasts aged 18 and older.
Participants may enter as individuals or teams, with a maximum of two individuals per team.
2. Registration:
All participants must register online by [Registration Deadline].
Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of a completed registration form and payment of the registration fee, if applicable.
3. Chili Preparation:
Each participant or team is responsible for preparing and bringing a minimum of one gallon of chili for tasting and judging.
Chili must be prepared in advance and brought to the event in a crock pot or chafing dish to maintain optimal serving temperature.
Participants are encouraged to showcase creativity and flavor in their chili recipes.
4. Categories:
Participants can enter the general competition or choose specific categories, such as "Hottest Chili."
Judges will evaluate entries based on taste, aroma, texture, and presentation.
5. Event Timing:
Participants must sign in between 11 am and 12 pm on 01/13/24.
Tasting and awards will take place from 12 pm to 2 pm.
6. Judging:
A panel of judges will be appointed by the event organizers.
Judging will be blind, and judges' decisions are final.
Categories for judging include overall taste, creativity, and adherence to the chosen category (if applicable).
7. Prizes:
Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in the general competition.
Special trophies will be awarded for the "Hottest Chili" and "People's Choice."
8. People's Choice Award:
Attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite chili to win the People's Choice Award.
9. Conduct:
Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner.
Any form of cheating or unsportsmanlike behavior will result in immediate disqualification.
10. Liability:
Participants are responsible for their chili entries and any associated risks.
Empire Harley-Davidson and event organizers will not be liable for any accidents, injuries, or losses during the event.
11. Photography and Media:
By participating, participants grant permission for their likeness and chili entry to be photographed and used for promotional purposes.
12. Changes to Rules:
Event organizers reserve the right to make changes to the rules or event details if necessary. Participants will be notified of any changes.
